Colossus-Building the Bismarck-Trumpeter 1/200th

And now, since everyone has been so kind with my work so far, here's a dry fitting fun photo session.

Aligning the camo stripes and getting them to look neat, big thing, must get it 100% right, since the camo stripes make a big visual impact.

Most of the PE pieces still have to be attached, and quite a few bits and pieces need painting and weathering.

Taking my time with this, realistically speaking, this build will most likely spread into 2019.

Thank you all again for the kind words and for your patience following this build.

Very nice (y) ,
:captain I see how the stripes work as camouflage/disrupting the shape of the ship

Nice work on the stripes, I know it would not be easy doing them in place, but disassembled is a trick! :ro:

Wow!

That's like a glimpse into the future. This is going to be incredible! I am so proud of your improvements since joining MA! Leaps and bounds, my friend!

Just hang in there and keep doing what you're doing!

:popcorn fantastic project - well done on the stripes on dissembled parts on a multi-level tower :blink

This will be a beast when finished.

Thanks Piet, when I have all the superstructure painted and glued in place, I think it will show the effect of disruption / misleading a lot better.

Thanks Mike,

I would say, at my level at least, painting them while in place would be impossible. To make it even more challenging, some areas are curved, the alignment is very tricky, must take into account the fact that curved surfaces tend to fool the eye.

Thank you Bob :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

The help and support I found here has been amazing. If it wasn't for me joining MA, none of this would have ever happened :D
