Bit of an update. Working on the bow half of the superstructure.

Everything dry fitted, here are the parts:

When it's all done, there will be at least twice as many parts. Most of them PE, but lots of plastic too.

Some more wooden deck done and in place and camo stripes painted. Masking was a pain and still requires some touch ups but it's taking shape.

Thanks for watching,

Looking great Laurence,

Making progress! I know if I am anxious to see this complete, you must be as well!

This is stunningly brilliant work man! Congrats on getting the masking down well.

Thanks Mark, masking has been a cow so far and it's still not over yet. Biggest problem is that everything that has to be masked and painted, must align perfectly, otherwise the effect of those imposing camo stripes will look stupid.

Bit of an update.....

Lately it has been mostly about masking, painting and PE, and very little else.

Top of the smoke stack, one platform where two search lights will appear, and another platform with a ton of PE

The top of the smoke stack - had to hollow them out, 41 in total, different sizes, from 0.3mm to 0.7mm.

The other platform, which will be mounted on the smoke stack - 53 PE pieces (an earlier count of 47 was not correct).

And some more PE below....

More to come, thanks for watching and the very kind words on this build :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
