BREGUET 693"MrT's FRENCH CONNECTION"

Hey guys look no tracks!! :huh: To get warmed for the "BOMBER COMMAND" build I dug around in the stash and found this Breguet 693 French twin engin fighter that I got for a dollar. It is a Simer kit with no cockpit, but pretty good exterior. The landing gear is simple. The fit is pretty good so far, but the decals are out of register so I will have to paint the markings on. Here is what I finished last night comments and suggestions welcome.

Well I could smoke the glass or put a tarp over it. This is just a practice build.

This is a re-release of the Heller kit of decades ago. A good kit indeed even if the cockpit is lacking. What is surprising is that the Breguet 693 is a ground attack aircraft.

Well I may not need to do either one because I'm trying to piece together a cockpit from the junk box.

Yes Saul it is a pretty good kit. The fit is good with just a little flash. Not bad for a 70's kit.

Laura told me I needed a cockpit or build this crashed. Not willing to have a crashed plane I am building a cockpit. I have no idea what the real thing looks like this is just a shot in the dark.

If it's suppose to be a ground attack plane, it's suppose to be in it's natural
setting. (CRASHED)... Or just a smoking hole in the ground with debris all around.

Other than that it's looking pretty good... I always build them up, then tear them
down, so you are on the right track either way... :laugh:

If you must (please say no and save your sanity) I can rustle up some references. The French aircraft did take off and was not bad for a flying beetle.

By the way, that cockpit looks quite nice (seat and stick)...
