Another Fokker DVII.

From the distance the prop looks great. I made a suggestion to one of the AM folks about making metal control horns for these birds, haven't seen anything of it yet. I'd pay for it because drilling out those horns is a pain.

You could still do the oil treatment to the prop to get the grain effect, really like the layered look. (y)

From here it looks very good james :) To me it looks more like the real wood layers than anything else.

Well not much again. I did manage to get the top wing bottom side covered today. Let it fry overnight and trip it and then do the top. Hopefully I will have time and ambition when I get home from work tomorrow. So a couple of boring pics for your entertainment.

BTW I really love these Aviattic decals. If you're going to do a WWI fighter at the very least give these a try.

(y) (y) I'm in awe that a manufacturer can make a decal this large and then be installed without any foul words.

Thats 7 decals there Chris. But they are nice and they fit well. And for sure they look 100 times better than the WNW decals. Wish I could get a good shot to show the cloth look of these decals.

Kinda like our Friend who made decals of each and every panel on his project. (y)

Looking good James, here's some :zen for ya but I don't have much to spare lately.

Seven decals just for the top ? At least it would make it easier to fit . :)

You just keep taking your time, matey, you've put so much in to this, I'm sure that you don't need me to tell you that you don't need to rush it, just to get it on to the display shelf. Easy-does-it, you're almost there.

All I see are purple and yellow spots...

Just kidding James, fine work and your builds are pushing me more and more to do a Wingnuts kit.

Look 2 ribs in from left wing tip and then look 3 ribs in from aileron cutout on left wing. Unfortunately too evident. I have a second set of decals and will strip top wing and do again. Should not have done this when my eyes were wonky. Every now and again this new prescription makes it difficult to see. Hopefully that will be fixed after seeing the specialist next month. And hopefully I wont need the cornea replacement.

Top wing done as best I can. Decals on the struts (should have done the tail braces and landing gear before I glued them on). If I'm feeling better tomorrow I hope I can get the top wing on and get to weathering. I did do some initial oil stains, but need more work.
