All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Here in Michigan - the coldest Feb on record. Coldest in my 73 years anyway. Keeps me at the bench more, so that's a plus. (y)

Well I just found out the official last day for my campaign at work. Last day will be March 18th. Basically means I have about 10 days of work or so. They are also wanting us to join another campaign after that. But we all have to apply again like we are brand new applicants. Did that yesterday even though I have no desire to work there anymore. But figured if anything it will give me some options in case the job search doesn't go well.

I built this Airfix 1/72 Typhoon sometime about when they were a new release. Somehow the kit's exhaust pieces were lost, so I originally put on Spitfire IX exhaust's so I could finish the campaign. They didn't fit well and didn't look right.

Finally, I bought QuickBoost AM exhaust's. Waiting for the paint to dry so I can install them. This is one project on the bench today :D

I cleared off the 1/72 HU-16B from my to do list & it's completed! :woohoo: So, the 1/72 Airfix PBY-5A will soon grace my bench :geek

Had an interview this afternoon for a cabinet shop position. Was offered a position right after the interview and I start my new job on Wednesday :yipee :yipee :yipee :yipee It pays more then the technical support job did and is Monday through Friday. Oh and now I don't have to explain to people what the magic box with blinking lights is and how they get internet with it :bang head

Congrats Ryan ..... Don't forget #1 rule in cabinet building the cabinet has three dimensions ..... and if the wall doesn't have sheetrock on it when you measure the job ..... allow for that .....

My bench was so bad I moved to the garage this last spring and then when it turned cold I moved back in and kept trying but just had enough. I only cleaned the center out. I really need to take everything out of the room and and put everything back where it belongs. That might wait for spring :drinks

This morning my MiG 23 was on the bench being puttied & sanded, this afternoon, it got primed :dance .

I'm going to leave it alone for a few days now and go-back to finish both the Eurofighter and the Skyhawk. They're both so close to the finish line it seems 'wrong' not to complete both these projects.

Ian.

Way to go Ryan! :drinks

Right on Ryan! Congrats! Sounds like a fun job. Now when you finish installing their cabinets, you can tell people that 'here is where you can put that little box with the blinking lights' instead! :blink :woohoo: :tomato

Some much-needed rain arrived last night and it's cooled-off a little today, so I'll be at the bench this morning, painting tyres and attaching gear doors to my Skyhawk.

See y'all later.

Ian.
