All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Got 4 inches of snow yesterday, but it really warmed up today, all the way to 18 degrees.

No benchtime for me lately guys, been festering the Norovirus for the last 3 days, put me in the ER last night when fever spiked.

State of the Bench right now. Sand fill repeat on the Hawk.

Poor pup! :mpup

I hate the ER.

They stick big gauge needles in your arms and but and elbows and hands...

The stick tubes up your nose and down your throat...

They dress you in funny clothes that leave you tail hanging out...

They X-Ray you in funny positions...

Then they stick your claustrophobic self in the MRI...

Yup... hate ERs

Sorry ta hear that MP :( Having gone to the ER not too long ago meself for Bronchitis. Yeah, it sucks!! I can speak from experience... Aint no fun!! HOpe ya git ta feelin' betta soon!! :drinks
My bench time's been limited lately with my grand-nephew the past 4 days...

Gee WHiz, Bob uh Moon Puppy, I'm sorry to hear about your visit to the [strike]Vet[/strike]...er Emergency Room :pinch:
Those places can make you sad. :( Hope your [strike]kennel cough[/strike]... uh virus gets over with soon.
'course with a clean bench like yours (Well compared to mine) returning to the Hawk will, hopefully, be a tonic for what ails ya.
Get Better, :Hiay it's no fun when you're down.

Thanks guys, :mpup

Feeling better today for sure but I was feeling good before I went into the shakes.

Steve I think a good shot at the Hawk is just what the doctor ordered. I'll take that tonic straight up. :pilot

Thursday I played with printing a tarmac base on my photo printer at work. I also made a 1/144 hanger for my Chennault AFB build.

Spent sevral hours last night & today trying to assemble the photoetch tool straps for my Befehlsjager. I did manage to make a small bit of progress, but overall it was an experience in complete & utter frustration.

As this is written, my Skyhawk is lying on its back on the bench with its legs in the air whilst the centreline tank is setting (fixed with CA glue).

If all goes well, I'll try and get a gloss-coat on the underside this week and then add the four Mk82SE's. Unfortunately No2 daughter is home with a 'tummy bug' today, which will curtail any 'plastic-wrangling'. Bad for modelling, but good for my booze-consumption, one of my mates and another former WO at Liverpool Coastguard arrives here in sunny New Plymouth a little later today to stay with us for a few days...

...I fear much beer will be consumed :drinks

Ian.
