I have a friend in Denver who just experienced this winter storm and had warned me. When I woke up this morning it had already began.

OK, we get snow in Missouri a lot but...... the forecast is that the worst is yet to come and it should continue all day, throughout the night and into tomorrow.

All you guys east of us, get ready!!!

Bob

No more Bob...I've got spring break coming up and I want to start practicing for our Over-30 baseball league before the season actually starts ;)

Take care Bob. We had a doozy and even this morning there were still snowflakes falling.

James, what we call a blizzard, folks where you are would call a dusting. I can't even imagine what a doozy would be in the frozen tundra where you live! :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

Well if it's any consolation, 6 hours and 55 minutes south of James here in Gods country the sun is shining it's above freezing and there is just enough snow left on the ground to remind us that it actually

this year............

Had to drive during some snow down I-81 in VA earlier. :blink It is Spring, but it is snowing in the south. :S

We haven't even had a dusting this year, knock wood. Hunker down Dad!

I'm hunkering, I'm hunkering!

BTW, it is still coming down, we're up to about 11 inches so far and no end in sight. These are the biggest flakes I have ever seen, about the size of a nickel.

Here are a couple more photos. Can you tell I am bored? This reminds me of a scene out of Dr. Zhivago. Where the doctor and Laura flee Moscow to the Urals and the tiny town of Varykino.

Hopefully, the melting snow will not cause any flooding.

Zod, my house is at the highest point of the county we live in. I can't control the weather, but I learned years ago to always buy property where you could see all the other surrounding properties from any point of my house. If it all drains away, you never have to worry about flooding.

Back in the 60s, we bought a house with a finished basement that moonlighted as an indoor swimming pool every time we had a hard rain. I made a mental note of that with a mallet to my forehead and never, ever again bought a house on low ground.

I also hopefully timed things right with my firewood...looks like I have enough to last up to Friday...and we are supposed to be getting warmer weather next week...
