It's a sarcastic applause from Captain Hull, cause it's taken me longer to build a 3ft model than it did to make the real one
He had what, a couple of hundred skilled craftsmen doing his bidding, where as you're just one craftsman.

The National parks website says " One of these warships, USS Constitution, was built at Hartt's shipyard in the North End of Boston. Construction began in 1794 and Constitution launched on October 21, 1797. The ship sailed its first cruise the next year as the Quasi-War with France emerged. Thanks errains!If you fancy a read the book Six Frigates is quit excellent. It covers the construction and history of the original six boats including the Conny.
