Thanks Eagle. The Victory is next. Not enough room in my shop or in my Brain to work on both at the same time.Looking really good Tim! I like how the ratlines have turned out on this.
Also looks like you have jumped off to a start on the HMS Victory in the background as well.
Thanks Rhino. It ain't no stealthy Coast Guard submarine but I'm tryingYour USS Constitution continues to amaze and astound me! I try not to slobber too much. I mostly fail.
Thanks for the encouragement Duke!WOW!!!! I'm feeling so overwhelmingly inadequate right now! This is unbelievably outstanding work!
Those were the days! Things were so much simpler. Note; the description on the instructions, 'Antique Ship'Simply wow...
I recall having classmates chip in (we were in groups) to get Pyro's Christopher Columbus ships for a school project. I got to build them and was so proud but now I know they were...
Not my photo but I remember the boxes.
Yep James, that's exactly what those are. The booms for the main & fore yard studding sails. She's beautiful. What are those long p[oles lashed to the side for? At first I thought a gaff hook but it is too big. Where those for the flying sails?
James
PS I know nothing about ships so you're probably scratching your head and saying What is this guy smoking?)
It'll be displayed in a glass case as a waterline scene, depicting Constitution at anchor. I chose not to cut the hull. Instead I'll cut the hole in the base and drop it in.You better have a hermetically sealed display case ready for this, Tim.
Thanks mustang.Such tidy work on this with all the rigging. Superbly done.
