Re-stocks and initial releases consume material! I used up almost all TLAR's sail material.

"So Rhino, how do you make the sail material you sell?"
Nothing technical or mysterious to it. I use a 9' round cake pan, 1/2 a package of Knox gelatin, mixed in warm water. Dip and swirl coffee filters and lay out to dry. Each sailing ship kit comes with 1/2 of a circle. Just as a comparison, I did the sails on all 4 of the newest TLAR sailing ship model builds with 1/2 of a sail circle.
This can be painted before or after you use it. It is .002" thick to begin with. That is 1.4 inches thick in 1/700 scale. I tried many different materials, and coffee filters and Wet Naps are the best possible options.
.07 inches thick in 1/35 scale makes dandy fabric.
