GRUMMAN F3F-2 "UPDATE 10""FINISHED"

Looking good Terry. Can't beat a good old yellow wing bird. Makes me want to watch Divebomber

Is that the one where the guy named Lucky is the one who's killed? :rotf

I've seen that movie. Best part is all the color (not colorized!) prewar schemes. :pilot :pilot

The fuse is sealed up and the engine is on it's way. The landing gear doors were a real pain. I had to do some cutting. Here's where we are so far. Comments and questions are welcome.

Makes me want to break out one of my Yellow Wings Terry. It's looking good, if you had trouble you sure can't tell it.

I broke some of the struts trying to do their way. Finally just did some trimming and did it my way. I still have some sanding and smoothing to do on the fuse. Silver paint shows everything.

Looking good. (y)

I see some mold lines on the struts up by the engine, and also on the right lower wing joint line at the front edge.

Yeah I saw those too. The silver paint really makes that stuff stick out. Thanks for pointing those out. (y)

Looks pretty good so far Terry. Yeah silver sure makes every little thing stick out doesn't it. What color did you paint the engine?

I haven't had an update for a while mainly because I messed up the paint on the fuselage. I think I have that resolved so moving forward i did some engine work today.
