Wingnut Wing SE.5a

Deflect the rubber indeed LOL. Ay ya yai. So that's what the kids are calling it these days!

This plane looks so stinking good!! Makes me want to put the Mustang away and start my Glouster.

Getting this wrapped up, rubber or rudder be damned.

I added a small brass washer between the back plate of the prop hub and the motor shaft, seemed too close. Waiting on that solvent to cure before attaching the prop to the hub, hopefully the shaft still spins.

I got some weathering to do, not much just mud splatters.

Added a wire down from the trigger of the Lewis, just draped down in the cockpit, there's another line that needs to be run from on the front of the cooling jacket to the rail so the gun could be lowered, that just goes down the top of the wing with a loop dangling down.

What I really need is some better lighting and photo box!

Well I think I'm calling this done!

All that work in the cockpit and this is what can be seen.

Only short comings I can mention is the attachment of the control surfaces, there's little if anything to attach the parts to the surfaces.

Thanks for all y'alls input.
