I know the Germans had helicopters in WWII and although they didnt use them as much or as well as I would expect, I did not know the US and England had them also. That is until I stumbled upon a video clip where the US recued a downed pilot in Burma with one. Very interesting. Now I need to find out more.

Thats to keep it on the ground. Helicopters don't actually fly, they're repelled by the Earth.
