Now that I am clearing most of the builds for the Cancer GB, I have time to start this one-- but as you can see, there are some gaps between the torso and the legs...would Apoxie Sculpt work or is there something better? Don't mind the black marks...I was cutting the resin in my spray booth and my paint carousal needs a good cleaning ;)

Dear Jeeves.

...before the application of the epoxi, try some plastic strips glued with superglue...hope to see an excelent work :coolio

Best!

Luiz.

So that's what you were doing with those plastic strips Luiz, I though you were adding some hemline or extra length to the coat. (y)

Thanks guys... this one got buried on me before I saw all the great replies! ;)

Well-- I went ahead and used the Apoxie Sculpt...and used the leftover to make a couple sandbags for something else ;) I'll sand things down a bit- but am pretty happy with my lackluster sculpting abilities ;)

Smooth out the sculpt with thinner before it drys ,...this makes sanding much easier,...

however seeing as youve already done this job then it looks great and I cant wait for more progress :)

LOL....you should be a diplomat Andy! ;)

Yup...I did have to sand things...I also used my sculpting tool to scrape a bit of it down...hit it with primer today...I think I've got it down to where it needs to be....

Well...after primer and some Vallejo dark flesh-- coat 1...

Gotta say- this will be much more challenging than the Verlinden Waist gunner from last year-- his face was mostly covered with an oxygen mask...no such luck here!! ;)

Got my order of Vallejo paints from ScieFi Genre so I could get started on the uniform...still have more to add-- including another coat on the Mae West....but here we are so far...any advice or comments are welcome!

Also-- on his right side shirt collar appears to be something clipped to it-- any ideas what it might be? Here is as close as I can get things focused.....

Thanks Bob!

Still trying to get a good grip on what color to paint the .45...are they gunmetal or silver??

Still have touching up here and there and more layering...but here we are so far:
