SCHNELLBOOT S-100

Hi again, I managed to do some more work on the boat lately so here it is...

First after doing some more research I found a mistake on the bridge area, the
Extractor that was moved to a higher position is wrong. It appears like That only
On the boat Lang, after carefully studying the photos, the original position is
Correct for Ha-Ju. So now it has to be moved back to its original place, Sorry about
That.
I started to remove the extractor carefully to locate it down again

The area is sanded smooth again

Also the grille inside the map room has to be relocated again
X8j43me.jpg

The area is sanded smooth and a new set of doors are constructed

The extractor is back where it was before
NgkVBKZ.jpg

With that fixed I moved to relocate the watch tower, it needs to be moved to the center of the map room roof,
the locating strip is removed and the area is sanded smooth

Here the tower is glued in its new location

With a piece of angular styrene I made the step for the watch tower and added a piece of anti-slip plate to it.

Here you can see the location of the tower and the new step

Now I moved to the construction of the antennas, first the FuMB 32 ‘Flores’ direction finding
Radar detector. I used the engine grill from a tiger to make the antenna
RlfRiFS.jpg

The mesh is cut to 4.5mm x 33 mm long and formed in to a circle

ntZ2f17.jpg

The mast is made with a piece of round styrene .050 x 40mm long and four pieces .040 x 4mm long,
the base plate is a disk of .020 x 3.5 dia.
bhueQZJ.jpg

The four pieces are glued in a circle; a piece of styrene strip .015 x 4mm is added to each
qXD5UPW.jpg

EdsGabq.jpg

Now the round mesh is glued in place, the antenna is almost finished
qN9uFWJ.jpg

The next antenna is the FuMB 24 ‘Cuba 1a’ long range radar detector, again using the
Tiger mesh I started to construct the antenna.
With spare PH parts I made this rectangle and bend it to a V shape, it will work as the frame for the mesh
qN9uFWJ.jpg

A piece of round .100 x 3.5mm styrene is glued to a styrene strip
8lvN6nY.jpg

It is then glued to the back of the PH frame
b5PQsU2.jpg

AIBliIc.jpg

Now the mesh is added, it is glued to just the two ends of the frame
H1bQect.jpg

Now I glued some details with styrene rod on the center of the mesh, the device seems to have what appears
to be a small propeller, so I included it to mine with two .010 x 2.5mm styrene pieces sanded to shape.

Using copper wire I did the two small antennas on the back of the Flores antenna
VrbOVF7.jpg

A .040 x 20mm long mast is glued to the Cuba antenna and this is then glued on top of the Flores mast.
The set looks like this now

In a couple of days I will be posting more photos of more scratch building of the last
