Hi my friends, thank you all for your comments, here another small update on the latest work on the boat
The cammett mines are weathered and finished
The rear ammo locker received some detail on its doors as the locking mechanism made with
Plastic rod and PE leftovers, the same was done to the side lockers
For the flak 42 I used the wood boxes from the afv set for the bofors and m42
The boxes are sanded smooth and the rope handles glued in place
Here is the original look and the finished one
The ammo from the bofors set is very similar to the ammo for the flak 42, so I used the bofors ammo to fill the case and then placed one original clip on top so I don’t have to make castings
Of the flak 42 ammo to fill the crate.

The flak 42 ammo in the rear ammo locker
The demijohns bases are installed
The throttle pedestal is finished
The kalotte is finished with the installation of the wind shields
The wheelhouse room is also finished
The radio, wall clock and flare gun holster are glued in place
The map room got some details, the ruler and compass are made from PE pieces
A couple of photos of the kalotte with all the sections to check that all fits ok
The rails plastic chain is removed and the holes for the replacement chain are drilled
Working on figure painting and the base for the boat is almost done. Thanks for watching

HI mi friends, here with the last update before presenting the finished model. The last details to the ship before its first mission. So here we go one last time…
The crew from Azimuth is great, excellent details; I used a couple of the figures from italery also
Here the flesh detail is painted followed by the uniforms.
I modified a little this figure from the italery set to be the driver
A figure from dragons communication set is used in the map room
The side markers lights are replaced with new ones made from styrene, a vacuum copy was made, then a piece of styrene is cut in half and the new glass is cut to shape and glued, two Styrene disks serve as bottom and top for the new lamps. A small piece of wire is used for the handle detail on top of the Edward PH part
The new side marker lamp painted and in place, sooo much better than the original
The steel angular between the kalotte and the front deck is made with angular styrene of 1.2mm

Torpedoes are glued in place and the PH straps painted and installed

The anchor in its new location as seen on the real boat, why there is a mystery for me, I think
It is because it is so little used so it doesn’t stand on the way on the front deck
The PH roof supports from the Edward set are installed; this detail is missing on the kits parts
The side railings are placed and wired
The wire tensors for the antenna cables are made from cooper wire and a piece of brass tube Painted black
The tensors and the antenna cable installed
The finished front gun
The ammo storage for the dual flak
The side handle and the strange box on the boats side are installed

The base for the boat in made of plastic panel ½ inch in dia. A cut out of the boat hull was made
The water is made with spackling compound and wire screen the base is 48”long by 12” wide
The wire mesh used to form the water spray is covered with spackling paste
It’s getting there, almost finished
Well this is it, it is already finished, I’m working on the final photos of the complete model on the base, coming soon!

Oh man, not sure how but I missed the last update. Amazing work, and cant wait to see the progress on the base, I'm already blown away.

Hi my friends, thank you all for your comments,finally here are the photos
of the finished schnellboot with The base, it measures exactly 4’ x 1’.
The water is made with spackling Compound painted with water acrylics
and finished with a coat of future. The boat is not glued to the base as
I wanted it to be removable from it.
That’s why there are some gaps around the boat. So please enjoy it as much as I do.
Hope you like it, the schnellboot already won first place in naval diorama category at a local show last November, thanks for following me in this long journey and hope to see you in my next project.
