Revell 1/32 P-51B Mustang for my Dad

And so We did. I'll let my People know how it shakes out. Fun so far! :yipee :rotf :drinks :silly:
Thanks for lookin' In!!

Both of my cameras went Tango Uniform on the California Trip. I was bummed, but the trusty Canon A2300 was super old, and the Kodak's last operator was a 9-year old, very enthusiastic, granddaughter. :facepalm

Mowing Season has begun. Always takes a bite out of my bench time.

I did get a light burnt umber oil wash on the landing gear bay. Dry-brush follows. I'm still here!
Thanks Men! :notworthy

We are still watching! :popcorn

As to cameras breaking my Nikon L24 developed a problem with the battery hatch a while back. The idiots at Nikon made the battery springs overly strong and the door started breaking. I was able to modify the springs so that they had about 10% of the tension they originally had and was able to rebuild the door. I use that cam with a big attachment I built to do real close up photos of stuff. Still works great!

My newer camera is a higher resolution Nikon L30 and it had the same problem with the battery springs being way way too strong. Reshaped them as well and so far the little door is still holding up. Have thought about getting a newer SLR type cam that can have lenses changed but have not decided to splurge yet.

Maybe one of these days. :hmmm

Wow Rhino that is a gorgeous yard! I envy you!

Where in California did you go? If you were here in Southern California, I'm upset that I missed you. If not, then I hope you had a fantastic time.

Model work looks great so far, nice wash work.

Mike,
In a whirlwind vacation Car-ride, :bang head (3,710 miles in 9 days) we went to Oroville, for the first couple of days (Grand kids) then to San Francisco Bay/Alameda to visit the Old Gray Ghost (CVS-12), :captain :pilot :salute from there, that very same day we rocketed (HA!) to Santa Cruz for a couple of days where "The Lost Boys" movie was filmed, (I saw a Werewolf, but not one Vampire) and back to Oroville. I made the big mistake of dining at the Lodge at Feather Falls casino buffet, and spent 1 1/2 days sicker than 10 Zombies. Imodium AD was my Best Friend on the road home! I Didn't eat much until we got to Sidney, NE. then.................RUNZA!!!! :yipee :yipee :yipee

I bought a shiny new Canon Powershot ELPH180 camera after we got back. I got Stuff I need to do! It takes a camera.
Thanks Men! It was a GREAT Vacation! At the end of The Ride, I was glad to be back home.

Burnt umber washes and a little testors yellow ZNCR to lighten the highlights on main gear bay & doors.
I did a bunch of TLAR stuff today, Then I finally got to doing SOMETHING with Papa's Mustang.
It's been a Model Day!! :yipee :yipee :gogo :yipee :zen

Rock and Roll man! I had two Model Days myself and I can relate to how fun they are! Way to go man! Bring it home!

Winter time is Model Time! Having nearly completed the Samurai Bathtub, and most of TLAR Models 2018 projects, a sentimental sabbatical is in order!
Back to The Papa's Mustang!

Masking for medium gray underside and white ID stripes for the 4th Fighter Group in England.
The Big Mustang takes LOTS more paint than I am accustomed to shooting. Model Master medium Gray, and Floquil Reefer White are curing for a coat of Model Master Metalizer sealer, so more masking (and repainting lifted spots) can occur.
The Archer Fine Transfers decal rivets look amazing under paint.

Thanks for looking in!!
