Pearl Harbor Day 2014.

Almost slipped up on me. Cindy's Mom reminded me this morning. Said they had just got out of church and heard it on the radio.

73 years ago today.

Here's something that SA Dave can back me up on - for a laugh I'd thought I'll walk into today ask the chav-mongs I work with what historic event took place. In response I got total duuuuuuh so I then said to give you a clue Ben Alffeck and Michael Bay made a really bad film about it. Suddenly one of the girls cried out - it's something that happened in the Middle East - I walked away...
Just incase you might think it's cos they are British - the response I got to the Battle Of Britain once was - who is Winston Churchill :facepalm I'm being quite serious.

Some of the funniest things Chef has told me has to do with a guy called History Dave (Or HD as he calls him) Who ever knew WW2 was in 1968.

Taking the family to Hawaii this Christmas and will be staying in Honolulu. I'm looking forward to doing the Pearl Harbor tour.

Crying shame Dave. Ask them any pop culture question and I bet they would know right off the bat.

Ryan I know y'all are looking forward to that trip, take LOTS of pictures!

Mrs Wolf and I have had the pleasure of doing that in September, on the 2nd to be precise. Didn't plan it to be specifically on that day, it just happened.

I apologise in advance if you have been there before, but if this is the first time, may I say that tours are available for booking from all hotels, we chose Stars and Stripes - included Arizona and Missouri. It was awesome, I have been dreaming of visiting Pearl since I was a kid.

I put together a display with some photos that we took that day, it's more of a Missouri centered thing. We purchased the copy of the Instrument of Surrender at the Souvenir shop, a copy of the newspaper that announced the attack, as well as the Arizona kit - Revell - great price too.

Sorry for the rambling folks, but this was a truly awesome experience for us, wish you all went there for a visit one day.

Last but not least, a photo I took myself while at the Arizona memorial.

May all those who perished that day rest in peace.
