I know, I know. It's a year away. I'm the kind of a Man that likes to be prepared. Casting continues.

Mark Karolus asks for a rum bottle "like Captain Jack Sparrows" for his Rick Raccoon figure.
Teresa found me an interesting wooden bead, I installed a bit of brass tube, chuck it up in the Dremel and start shaping!
I should think a proper cork would be in order as well. I'm making just the one bottle.
The 10th anniversary release date is coming right up!

The 10th Anniversary TLAR Models new Rick Raccoon Limited figure kit has been released!

The 10 year is a big deal to me. I wanted to do something really cool for my TLARians. I couldn't bring myself to wait until June when the actual chronological anniversary is. That, and I own the friggin' company.
2 sales already!
20 more New Raccoons stand ready!

I hadn't cast much of anything in quite a while, so I figgered it was time to get back to work.
The upcoming 1/700 1833 US revenue cutter Roger B. Taney upgrades and Rick's new rum bottle progress. I cast the molds this evening and had good results on the cutter parts. The new bottle trapped a big air bubble but the stopper and the Chianti bottle fared better.
The cannon forest mold worked as it always does.

Thanks for looking in!

Silver, then Tamiya clear orange, then a mist on a coat of clear blue, gives Mark's bottle the dark, swarthy color of a Pusser's rum bottle. Downsizing and printing decal labels will wrap up my buddy Mark's special request.
