Basically they are leading link forks. the wheel rocks against a damper/spring on the bottom of the forks instead of the forks travelling up and down. Advantage is the forks are rigid so much stronger, the set up is lighter. Maybe not as good on sharp corners where the bike leans over so you often see leading link forks on sidecar outfits.
