PROJECT PANDEMIC-STANDARD B "LIBERTY" TRUCK "PROJECT COMPLETE"

I have been experimenting with used eye glasses cleaning wipes to be used as canvas. I smoothed them out while still damp, then ironed the remaining creases out. Sorry, no pictures yet, but the wipe has a canvas sort of texture and would have been thrown away anyhoo. I figure some diluted PVA glue would give it some body to hold a shape.

What about the cloth thickness? The one I have is pretty thick.

What I am talking about are the disposable lens cleaning wipes, they are a reinforced paper and are pretty thin. Ours came from Sam's or Costco.

I figured to make some grommets from thin styrene sheet, punched with my circle punch and glued over the holes for the tie downs.

I'd love to see pics if you could post at some point Mike. In the last to recreate the texture look, I've used Klondike bar wrapper by peeling the foil off the paper....might try that too so I could somehow manage the canvas rolled back over a hoop or two...

Update time....getting close.

Oh please tell how you did it...I'm coming up on that step soon...looks amazing Terry!

Attach facial tissue(1 ply) to ribbing with future floor wax(or equivalent). Then lightly spray whole area with future. The paper will wrinkle on its own. Let dry and trim as needed. You can re-wet with future and position as desired.
