Hello, finally finished my U-boat.

Dio called
; THE LAST PATROL: NORTH ATLANTIC 1945

Here is a teaser until my wooden base is completed by BASE 44.

OK that photo could pass for real. That is just amazing. You can almost smell the salt air..

Ian,

I always thought that Lewis Pruneau's U-505 was the best ocean water I had even seen, however, I believe this tops it! Absolutely spectacular drama! Each time you build a new one, I say it's your best. I suppose that says something about you. Your skills increase with each new project!

One question. Was the black and white teaser a photo of this diorama or what.......... I actually thought it was a photo of a real U-boat.

Thanks to everybody who replied :Adam, Dusan, Terry, James, Bob, Nerdling, Ron, John, Mike, MP, Christian, Cheyanne and Laura.

I was really challenged with this project and feel quite happy that I have finished a project fully as it has been a couple of years.
I appreciate all of your comments and thank you very much for the encouragement. A few of you have some comments that I would like to answer specifically.....

Bob - thanks mate. You know that Lewis' 505 was my benchmark so thank you. Each dio has it's own water effect that suits the scene.

Mike - thank you. Best Model, wow thats a big call so I am not sure what to say except I am a very appreciative.

John - I have taken some photo's and will do my best to add an explanation to describe the effect.
