Making the Totenkopf pennant, which is what inspired me to build this kit and why I chose to have the antenna up.

If you decide to go the decal route, simply paint the pennant white and the skull in clear with black background.

Tim do you find that construction in this scale is a bit more forgiving since you're dealing with larger parts, larger attachment points?

Yes. The closer it gets to 1-1 scale the better I say!
I like everything about working the 1/16 scale. I also think the finished builds present themselves well when displayed. They do take a lot of paint, though.
The Panzer III I'm starting on makes the Panzer I look like it's built in a different scale since the III was a much larger tank. The drive sprockets on the 1/16 III are 2" in diameter!
