Oshkosh by gosh

I love going to airshows. Don't seem to have many around here now. There was one in Atlanta area recently but schedule didn't allow.

You don't see a Waco YKS in the air everyday. The Schwalbe in the air is the coolest thing since Eugene Ely left the USS Brooklyn!

The last DC-8? 747-8SP engine test bed. N9962Y 1963 Champion Lancer 402. L-39 Albatros! Run for your life! Do you suppose the sky-diver will make it all the way to the ground? The Candy Bomber! Yay!! actually a C-118. N171GB GB-1 Gamebird Aerobatic competition aircraft. 315 HP! Holly Molly!
N841RS Dornier DO28A-1 KC-46 Pegasus. 737 Tanker. Pitts S-2B biplanes of the Canadian AERORECIP team. MiG-15 flying trash barrels.
Paul Bennett Airshow's Wolf Pitts Pro biplane. These are the guys with the only flying CAC Wirraway.
Swiss Havilland Vampire T.9
That should help with the most obscure airplanes.

The last DC-8?
Yeah, I stumbled on something about that somewhere. They are flying the only one now?

And that 747 SP just don't look right...but I want one!

I saw another video of one of those Dorner float planes with push pull config. Thought it was the evolution of that cantankerous thing @phantom II built a while back.

Start off with a flight of Cats, a Mig squirting fire, something squirting all sorts of fire at night. The Me262 again, a little top gun action and so much more!

More help with obscure airpalnes. N461FM: '72 Helio H-295
It is super cool to see a Temco TT-1 Pinto in the air!!
Some nut put a jet on an old Great Lakes biplane. That's just silly.
A Bellanca Citabria or Decathalon.
The weird fireworks-spewing airplane looks like a Rutan VariEze.
PB4Y-2G Privateer in it's USCG rescue weather recon configuration.
I'll be damned! That's Susan Dacy's "Big Red" Super Stearman! Years back, She autographed a picture for me. Her brother, Jim is an airshow announcer.
The OV-10D Bronco FAC and Skyraider show looks like fun!
The speedy little black & yellow airplane is an Extra 300, I think. She's a purpose-built aerobatics competition airframe. Lots of lovely horsepower! Gene Soucy had one a while back.

Some of these I recognize. I don't want anyone think I'm an encyclopedia, I am not. I google the N numbers for the least familiar ones.

There is the Russian Antonov A-40 flying tank Bob.

I was at RAF Mildenhall in the mid to late 1070's and remember the Reserves from Texas
flying in with a Connie for the airshow. The 513th TAW CO got pissed because they all wore orange flight suits with cowboy boots and hats.
