Micro Liquitape.... As a temporary bonding agent.

Greetings Model Builders;

Micro Liquitape make a excellent temporary bonding agent.

For example, on a BF-109 canopy..... use a small paint brush and put
a thin line of Liquitape on the side of the canopy, that will be
hinged.

..... After the Liquitape dries it will hold the canopy securely
open at the angle that you want. The if you wish, for authenticity
you may install that thin piece of PE.

For those that build for competition. You can leave the canopy
closed, to keep out the dust. Then later, for display purposes,
pull the canopy of and put it back in the open poison.

You can use Liquitape to put together sub-asemblies... to check
for fit. The at a latter date take the pieces back apart. Clean
up is with water. If the parts have together for a long time, may
need to use isoproal alcohol.

Thanks gents!

I went to my supply closet and my bottle is past expiration (clumpy) so I will probably pick up another. Funny thing is, I used to use it a lot when testing for fit of model kit parts for my reviews!

Regards,

This is a great tip- ^^^- I have used 'Mask it easy' for the same purpose- it seems to take paint better than regular white glue's like Elmer's.
