Mengs 1/32 Me 163 Komet

Ever since I read of this kit coming out I have impatiently waited. I just got one of the two I ordered and it was well woth the wait. Molded in crisp coloured plastic it has a complete engine, T-Stoff tank, cockpit, weapons bays and enough panels etc that can be left open to look at all of this goodness. The instrument panel is made to allow you to use a plastic instrument cluster and then finely paint the dials, or a PE cluster with decals for the instruments. They both look great. There are three markings, a block coloured 2/Zg 400 bird, Wolfgang Spates Red bird, and a captured a/c flown by Eric Brown. I ordered some decals from Peddinghaus, but now I think I may need some more kits as there are so many a/c I want to build. Here are the parts and the instructions for your perusal.

The box has a sleeve that looks very cool followed by the box with full art.

This should be interesting . Sort of wonder if they're not short some detail for that scale though.

Hard to tell in one solid color.

Head and shoulders above the old Hasegawa offering. Chris I will build it this weekend barring any more crappy days. Really want to do this.
