ME410 All the Way

Hello to all! Things have been keeping me quite busy lately- hence the lack of updates. It looks like you might not see me again for a couple weeks- sorry! All is well, so no need for worry- the 410 will keep for wee bit more.

To tide you over, here's an old snapshot of Hauptmann Hannah I found in my Uncle Wally's effects. He was tail gunner on B-17 Kitty Hunter, which she forced down in occupied France, capturing all hands and earning yet another Iron Cross. From the sour look on my Aunt's face when I asked her about the event, it seems Hannah was quite flirtatious with the crew and spared them from the wrath of the local Gestapo. Later in the war Uncle Wally was involved in an escape from his stalag, sneaking out in an empty sauerkraut barrel. He made it to Spain disguised as an itinerant pretzel salter, aided by nuns from the Divine Order of Ste. Bertranda the Topheavy. He lived a long and prosperous life, establishing a small but successful franchise of pretzel carts in New York and Chicago.

I'm baa-aack!

Well. it's been a whole month! We've had a family visit, spent two weeks in beautiful Alaska, been busy at work, fixed a leaky toilet and more in the meanwhile. I even got a bit of work done on the ol' 410- Fritzi and friends will show you exactly what has transpired since our last visit...

Yeah, you guys... :bounce:

So much going on- so little modeling time! Why are automobile tail lights so hard to change, and styrene so easy to over-sand? In one case, the hands are too big- and in the other, WAY too big! Ditch-digging would make a greta hobby, don't you think? ;)

Well, thank you all! :bounce:

I was a bit tight on time this weekend- I'd sent the girls home on leave. Pfennig steps up to the plate to bring you this update as only he can- enjoy!

I'm making the jump from the original forum to the new and vastly improved Tanks and Things- huzzah! Moonpuppy himself is going to transfer the previous body of the thread himself, for which I'm endlessly grateful. In the meantime, let's peek in on our cast of characters...

Ok, I'm all done Boss, Some thread titles may show up funny but I got to leave my mark somewhere. Take it away Chuck!

Bob has really earned his sainthood with this heroic effort- many thanks, O Mighty Architect!

Stay tuned for a special visit from Fritzi, dear readers-
Cheers!

I had a great Thanksgiving holiday with family, and drew the base sketch for this sitting at the kitchen table, chillin'. More modeling for next time- enjoy!

The artwork is soooooo cool. But the build is absolutley awsome. Almost makes me want to give up and start knitting or something.

I'll never give up...I may be wearing 15X reading glasses but i'll still be thinking, "How would Chuck fix this..."

Hey Chuk
A tremendously entertaining, informative and helpful read mate.
I appreciate the way you overcome obstacles in a variety of ways, and then forge on like a man possessed! Scribing the panels in is a clever way of doing things. The interior is all looking very good too..

I don't know Chuk, I'm all outta superlatives. I guess you have become the Obi Wan of plastic. There is defiantly other worldly about your skills.

So tell me; when will the Mother Ship arrive?

Again just incredible Chuck. I love watching this build. For sure I will refer to it when I build my 1/32 ME 410 in my Dads markings.
James

I don't do a lot of AC but I love these builds. I can use lots of the techniques in other subject areas.

Your creativity is great.
