Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Decals from the AZ Models release of their MS.406C.1 kit which, aside from the decals, included resin and PE parts to complete the conversion. Since the kit is over-priced now, being oop, I can make the rest myself.

There is a lot more to the conversion than a new spinner, exhausts, oil cooler, and ammunition access doors...

About three weeks ago, I finished a house painting job that netted me three large so I decided to celebrate by catching up on models I'd been wanting to buy for awhile. First, I ordered these from BNA Model World since they were the only ones to have some of these:

Three Academy Abrams. One will be made US Marine, the other Egyptian and the third Australian since this kit came with all three marking options:

Trumpeter Russian MLRS on the Uragan truck:

Trumpeter Canadian Leopard 2A6M:

And finally, this Trumpeter American LaFrance Fire Pumper:

Later on, I had to go get some medical tests done and Tony's Hobbies and Toys was right next store. More 'celebrating happened after my doctor visit:

First some more glue and supplies since I've been going through all this like water through a sieve:

Next I found these Japanese troops with a howitzer and realized these had been on my list for awhile to get so I bought them:

Another model I had been wanting:

I got this because it had wheels; the other kit I already had in the stash had only skis:

And this last one was just unique enough that I had to get it:

And that's all I have until my blacksmith shop comes in. I may even buy more when I get paid for these next two jobs....

I got both the Mk I and II. Gorgeous kits. Really need to build them now.
I noticed that the plastic for the fuselage is very thin. I would almost say it is close to scale thickness on the panels. Means it could be a really nice kit. Also means it could be a bit of a challenge to build. Only thing I noticed is that there is nothing denoting color for the interior.

Go for a nice rich wood grain. Maybe some rugs to bring it together. :rotf

Paul, the color was most likely a zinc chromate color, as most all these were built by military contractors. I've also see that some of these were possibly painted a light pea green or pale green color too.
