Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

I think the important thing when detailing any F1 car is tyre pressure. I prefer to use nitrogen over just air. :)

All these old guys, Sir Jackie and Sterling Moss., Emerson Fittipaldi, and Mario Andretti and dozens more all get together with their cars once a year down the road from me at Goodwood House " Festival of speed".
I have never been to the event, its pretty exclusive and tickets would be hard to get but 10's thousands go and the 3-days the event takes up hundreds of acres around the Earl of Marches stately home.

Not to be confused with the Goodwood revival once a year that takes place at the Earls own motor circuit and airfield down the road. and includes classic aircraft as well as cars with a 1930's theme.

I blame @jknaus!

Not model related but anyway.
New door for the tractor shed.

Thanks to Helene, I'm lucky that this was the only damage to speak of but it was needed. I'm going to take that hardy board off and see what the original clap board like here soon. New roof will be needed.

Also in the shed.

I've lost the battle. Last year Cindy brought the plants in the house on the back porch this year she thinks it'll be better in my shed. Why I don't know...next thing she'll want curtains on the windows!

Oh, I had to bring in ALL the plants, pots, and so forth from the patio indoors due to frost, as well as harvest the garden. Wife's in Europe.

This little beauty arrived recently. It is as crisp and sharp as all the other Sweet airplane models. I like the cats in the artwork.

P/E rotor set for my 1/350 USCG HH-3F Pelican kit. The Seaking was Sikorsky model S-61. Jolly Green Giants and Pelicans were Sikorsky model S-61R Rotors and tail rotors were common on all three Sikorsky products.

@Piet Zouki kits are really pretty good. Read the instructions through completely, and then work through the assembly. I have the Ho229 and completely changed the way and order the center frame went together. By doing so it went together easily and fit perfectly. If I had done it the way they had in the instructions it would have been horrible.

The kit is quite well designed, just whoever did the assembly instructions needed some lessons.

"whoever did the assembly instructions needed some lessons."
Looking on another site today where the ease of build of some models over others came up
Maybe he was like the Pocher designer, a raving alcoholic who designed some models while sober....and some while drunk as a skunk :)

Actually the design of the parts is really good. The dummy that did the assembly instructions didn't think it all the way through as the way the instructions have you build the frame is to just glue the parts to the bottom piece, do all the assembly, THEN attach the top piece to the multiple attachment points. The way I built it was to use the top piece to align the parts as they were placed between the top and bottom and then only glue the parts to the bottom. This still left the top loose to do the things you needed, but the fact it was used to perfectly align the parts between made the final assembly a snap as it all was aligned already.

Got my first one in the mail from Sprue Bros. and realised I wanted 2....second on the way. A lot larger than I first realised but will be fun to texture and weather to make look real - I may turn 1 link into a brush holder by drilling small holes accross the middle.

@Brokeneagle, I don't know if this resin cast track from a PzKpfw II interests you but, yours if you cover the postage (which may be high due to you being on the other side of my World):

Hideyuki Shigeta (Zoukei Mura designer/president) was present at the Madison IPMS/USA national convention. He is a humble, intelligent, friendly sort of Japanese man. He seemed thrilled to watch modelers buy his excellent kits and had a warm handshake. Looking into his eyes, I could almost see the wheels spinning.
