Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Laura, unless you think it will steal the interest away from the ship, why not replace the truck with a recently offloaded NeuBaufahrzeug? Place it closer to the viewing port of the shadow box.

very easy - the kit armament layout depicts tirpitz in 1942, by 1942 all NbFzg were destroyed and Pz.Abt.z.b.V40 has left norway (to karelia iirc) ... so my original plan to place a column of somua or hotchkiss tanks blew up in the second i read the latter fact in the wehrmacht encyclopedia ... now i'll use a supply convoy with trucks ...

The question is more when, and when you should start planning for number 8....:D

the plan's already made:

#7: iwata eclipse hp-sbs
#8: h&s infinity or paasche turbo

Which are #1-6? Mostly curious, since there's quite a step between a Eclipse and a Paasche AB.:)

in the order of purchase:

1) badger 150 syphon feed (1990)
2) badger 100 gravity feed (1990 - workhorse for many years)
3) h&s evolution silverline fpc 2in1 (2006)
4) iwata revolution cr (2007 - spontaneous buy, new workhorse)
5) rotring model a/e (2011 - i have both heads and all accessory - present from boss! licensed build from the old conopois - pic here)
6) iwata hp-sbp (2011)

I'm quite envious about the Rotring. They are so cool! Looks and feels like surgical equipment.
Since you already have the Evolution Silverline, I would recommend against getting the Infinity. The difference is so small that it just isn't worth it. I have the QuickFix back handle lying around somewhere, and it would give you the only real advantage of the Infinity, IMHO. No charge.

The Paasche AB (Turbo) is something I will buy for myself someday. Not to use, but mostly to collect. I played with one last year, and even if it is a bit strange to figure out, it can produce quite unbelievable detail. But it is limited to ink or other extrememly thin paint. I would probably not have any use for it, except for admiring in the collection.:)

i know! ;) ... but i want it! that's reason enough for me!

but this is the latest acquisitions thread, so let's return to new modelling goodies instead of in deep ab conversation ...

Interesting to so much armor paint masks coming out. I may have to look in to putting it back on my website. when I tried to sell it 6 years ago armor builders scoffed at it.

Well, here's my haul from our local contest last Saturday.

Here's what I got from the vendors:

The Crusader kit has two complete kits in it. Now I just need to get some new decals for it.

These are all raffle prizes:

These two came from a friend culling out his model stash:

These two were from a vendor who wanted a dozen bottles of Gator's Grip Hobby Glue. I swapped him even.

I got the England so I could use the hedge hog launcher as a pattern for my USS Orleck build

Pilots for my 1/48 Oka and my 1/32 Oscar:

And this came along with another ship kit that needs to be reviewed for Model Shipwrights:

I recall Montex Masks having a few and then expanding after having them reviewed. Did you ever get them reviewed?

Regards,

While, I'm not a big fan of model aircraft and don't do many of them.... Just occasionally I get something special -
