Arturo,

Later on, you will see that better tools are the best way ;) I know it is hard to buy diamond files but they are much better and finer. This is why I use sanding blocks like stepSanders.

What brand paint is that?

Regards,

Well Saul,
I don't want look a fool, I know the better tools are more apropriate and give better finish.
but the problem in Brazil it's find this tools...
To get products denated to our hobby it's hard and expensive... :bang head
And in the moment I can't afford that $$$

And the paint are from Acrilex (It's a paint brand, dedicated to handicrafts. Not for plastic model)
but that give a good finish if well used...

Arturo,

I never thought you looked like a fool as I know it is expensive! This is not a cheap hobby! I was lucky to find some diamond files at a very good price of $7.99USD:

I can imagine that shipping would be very expensive to Brazil.

As for paint, I am now using Agama which is inexpensive too (made in the Czech Republic for Jadar Hobby in Poland).

Regards,

Arturius,

I use a lot of nail files from the cosmetics section. One in has particular has 7 grits from about 400 to 2000... great for sanding and polishing...

Some men have a problem cruising the cosmetics section alone, I don't see why. If properly attired, I usually get help:

Seriously, whenever there is a cosmetics sale at the pharmacy, I tag along with the wife. Buying high quality tweezers and scissors (Tweezerman brand) at 50% off is great. Then there are the 'natural powders women use to flatten their tone and hide blemishes. Go to the ethnic section and look at those compacts:

Pick a few nice colors, brand them Tamiya and charge a fortune:

This is actually a Tamiya product!

There is no shame in being frugal!

Laura, unless you think it will steal the interest away from the ship, why not replace the truck with a recently offloaded NeuBaufahrzeug? Place it closer to the viewing port of the shadow box.

Just a thought! You need to e-mail me...

Regards,

Be interesting to hear about that Gaz AAA and the tank riders. Will keep an eye out for your review Saul.

It's not pressure. It's more of a gentle nod towards the inevitable. It is something that you need, as I'm sure you already know.
The question is more when, and when you should start planning for number 8....:D

Hey Harv,

Looks like my pantry... empty! :idonno

1) The mighty have not fallen, just :geek looking in new directions

2) Love the GAZ's, wish they came in 1/48

3) I came home today, after being sworn in as a captain in the Ohio Military Reserve (part of the Ohio National Guard) and there was a box with 1/72d F4F3, Il-2, LA9 Dual Combo and F6F3 weekend edition ... from my sweetie... Thus further encouraging me to either A: start modeling at her house or B: Do a few quick kits to :geek !

Pictures at 11 (or when ever my daughter returns my stupid camera!)
