Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

I need to get some refs too.

I pulled out a few from my library and these made the final cut:

1. Panzer Tracts 13-2; even if you have Panzer Tracts 13, get this book. All the Sd.Kfz. 8 wheeler plans are redone from scratch. The older book's plans are update in 1983 from the original set from 1966.

2. Museum Ordnance Special Number 11, Schwerer Panzerspähwagen (Sd.Kfz.231) 8 Rad; excellent text only surpassed by Panzer Tracts 13-2 (PT13-2) but with many automotive component illustrations & museum photos. No scale plans so a perfect companion to PT13-2.

3. Die Gepanzerten Radfahrzeuge des Deutschen Heeres 1905-1945 (Spielberger German language book); contains a section on the 8 wheeler along with Hilary L. Doyle's original set of plans with cutaway from 1966. A cheaper alternative to get the scale plans, albeit at a much smaller scale, is to find the Bellona Military Vehicle Prints Series 12.

4. Panzerspähwagen at War, Trojca Publishing; overpriced but a very nice selection of 304 period photographs.

5. Ground Power #73 from June 2000.

6. Allied-Axis issue 4.

Any chance you might do a review of the Bronco Kommandogerät 40 for us? I'm interested in this.

Erik,
it is a latex mold for cobblestones. It is used for the fan shaped patterns seen on some European streets.
