I managed to score some plastic this year. Its been several years since I've gotten models for Christmas.

This year I got a Testors 80th Anniversary Sturmtiger kit. From what I've been able to gleam from the internet, this is possibly a Revell reboxing.

They werent for Christmas, but from my sister, I got a fiberoptic USS Enterprise D kit, and Star Trek Insurrection Enterprise E kit. The D is unstarted, and only missing the small drill bit that comes w/ the kit, which is no problem, as I have several. The E-E kit on the other hand is probably about 50% started, along w/ a lot of parts being brush painted. So I'm going to do my best to strip the parts w/o causing too much damage, and then reassemble and airbrush the parts. Looks like I might have a couple more entries for the Sci-Fi campaign.

My Mother- god bless her, bought me some closet organizing furniture! lol- who told her? I swear she can read my mind (or has the place bugged)

We keep our Christmas's a bit low key between the adults, its the grand kids that get the loot as it should be. Though Mom did get her yard tub and my sis made a months supply of cookies...

For myself? I got caught on a job last monday with my pants down- my sawzall burned up and i had to cut a floor to fix a 3 inch pvc 90- I was raising two closet flanges for a tile guy so this had to be done asap- Headed to Lowe's and bought a Porter Cable gift set for $130.00. Sure now I have 4 rechargable drills but i got my sawzall and a great 18v skill saw. Bad part was I didn't do enough work in the house to justify charging the entire set to the customer! Oh well. Pick up your jaws fellas, THIS is a common practice in the craft trades.

All in all a good Christmas.

You got toys! (y)

We all love toys! :drinks

What could be better? :mpup

I am about to use my $50 gf at MicroMark... :dance

Sanding Sticks?
Chisels?
What shall I get????????

:geek

DUDE...

Did I forget to post the 500 pipettes I got from a chemical supply warehouse??? :yipee With shipping under $20!

Besides, I spent my hard gifted cash on a PE bendy thing...

I've been there! Yeah, common practice indeed.

What I got from an "unofficial Secret Santa" were two German aircraft. One was the Me-163 with the flying bomb below it, and the other was the Pfiel Arrow. Thanks Secret Santa, I don't have both of those in the stash. Other, non-hobby related items I got were some cookies, brandy-filled candy, more candy, two bottles of wine, and a hardware caddy filled with screws, nuts, bolts, wall anchors, picture hangers, etc. That was the best ever, mostly because it was the most useful one.

Saul,

It was a metal bendy thing!

I seem to remember from my days in the foundry/machine shop that you always use superior materials to shape inferior ones...

But then that was physics of the 1950's & 60's... kids today probably do the some thing using their psychic powers or some such thing...

Oh, Etchmate (since the better Hold-n-Fold is not sold by MicroMark) does offer a plastic PE tool.

Regards,

Yes, I knew about this for a while... whoever I sold my Tamiya kit with the upgrades to, this is the reason.

Nice haul, Saul. I have to check into the reflective stickers for my Leopards. Here is what I got this week.

The Sd.Kfz 7/1 and the Grizzly are review kits and the Merkava Book is for me.

You are writing reviews? For whom? If you will post a review of the AFV Club reflective stickers for some websites first (then wherever you want after a week) send me a PM.
