Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

My condolences James, I know how it feels to lose a younger brother. I'm thrilled his modeling things are going to a good home and I look forward to seeing them when you can post.
Thanks, it was a gut kick for sure. Week and a half from entry to hospital to final breath. Got home a day late to see him. Will post the rest when it gets here next week.
James

Got a couple oldies but nice kits for their time.

1/32 Ki-61 Kit was fine but there was an obvious short shot in the molding of the wing.

1/32 Fw-190 D-9. A few mods and I think this old girl will look great!

Bummer about the short shot mold, its going to take a little work to fix unless someone has come out with control surfaces for this kit.

Okay here is what showed up the past week and probably some of the last kits I will buy for the foreseeable future. As a matter of fact I will start selling a bunch of kits off over the next couple of months including the new Quad as I dont think I can build it.

The bag with the "tape" and pipettes is the gift that the store sent me. They add a small gift in every order which is very cool. I got it in my mind that it would be cool to do a supply vignette with a truck , trailer, and lots of goodies. I have a Trumpeter modern supply group unloading coming in the next week or so. I also have a couple of aircraft coming but will not show any pics until I get building. I hope to get them here and well started before April 1st. You'll see why then :)

You probably know Saul, but just saw some Star Decals for Saipan DUWKs and one had a shark mouth. I almost got it but decided to do a British DUKW that was used in Walcheren in the Scheldt. Canada borrowed them to make a sea attack while also doing a frontal attack across the causeway.

This is sort of an acquisition.

Built a new Electro/Mechanical work bench in the shed, on the open end right at the air compressor outlet.

Gotta think about what side to put what. Think I should have the drill press on the other end, might build a smaller kick off shelf for the grinder and get rid of that stand for it. Everything in the shed is on wheels except for that locker so it's easy for me to move things around.

Back from a difficult 3 weeks getting my younger Brother laid to rest and cleaning up his estate although there is still a lot of stress and paperwork to come. I arrived early this morning around 0100 and crashed hard, but when I woke I checked out my desk which my wife said was my second Christmas. All stuff I ordered before Christmas which didnt get here until I was gone. The 2 new CSM kits look great and one of the nice things about pre ordering them is they usually come with a history book. There are three versions but I only got two of them.

Sorry to hear about your brother James, My condolences.
I didn't know there were new CSM armoured cars out. These look very interesting!

A package from Poland but the kits are from a Ukrainian company... delayed at the border before being sent out via Polish mail:
I wonder why this one?

So what is "advanced" about the P-47 kit Saúl?
Extra sprue for displaying the engine cowls off (not what I will do), flaps down, and open ammunition bays. The engine gets extra parts as well as a new firewall. Larger PE fret for added details such as seat belts since the new sprue has a seat without them to replace the basic kit seat with them molded on. So, thanks to @RichB, I will post a photo review of both kits.

@jknaus, you cut off the top of the jagdpanzer so I wouldn't see the word 'Hetzer,' didn't you? :D Thank you. The Flammpanzer 38 is supposed to have the correct roof top but... who knows! I sent the information but it went into a black hole... never heard back from them.
I can neither confirm nor deny my avoidance of the word "Hetzer" lol :)

In line with my current interest/obsession with Russian Tanks in the Ukraine, I thought these keychains were pretty cool, plus they help sponsor the Locals to fight the 'Bear' in a small way. I also got a ref book that has super clear photos of vehicles in the conflict.
Cut from actual T-72's destroyed in combat, plus the one with the box also has a piece of a Hind 24 that was shot down and crashed into the Dnipro River.
