I have picked up a few items in the last few weeks. Here they are.

The interior and quite a few other items on the Trumpeter Ju87A are total garbage. They DID NOT DO THEIR HOMEWORK AND RESEARCH ON IT!!!! The one thing they did was get the instrument panel roughly correct though. BUT, I was going to use the Eduard color PE and THEY effed theirs up and did the Ju87 B instrument panel. I had thought about making one from scratch using Airscale parts but their stuff has sizing all over the place and it is basically junk too. Quinta did me a HUGE favor by doing the correct upgrade for the Trumpy kit and the radios are awesome as well. This will get that build back out of the box and moving along again.

I love the fine detail on the Quinta Decals stuff. I also ordered a set to be used on the Border models 1/32 Lancaster, but goofed and ordered the set for the HK Lancaster by mistake. Too bad for me the Border models set was already sold out. I did see some other Quinta sets though and one of them pointed me to the Kamov. Alas the big set for the Kamov is also sold out, but I will hold out for it as well.

I blame @jknaus for my Patton resurgence:

Thanks to this photo, I need an M48A2.

The only kits out there are the ANCIENT Monogram 32nd scale kit, and the newer Revell kits which have some issues aside from appearing to be 1980s technology. So, I noticed Dragon had everything in there super rare Magach 1 & 2 kits. Luckily, I found this:

The box also contained this barrel:

Why the Magach 3? The only thing missing from this box, opposed to the Magach 1 & 2 kit, to let me build the M48A2 is the upper hull with three return roller mounting pads. I thought I would simply erase pads 2 & 4 from each side.

Of course, in my forever TMI mode, I looked into the M48A2 as seen in Vietnam and what do I see? The mounting pads are still there and were simply not tapped for the mounts!

On examples with the trailing idler wheel, it seems an effort was made to grind down the pads but their location is still obvious:

Unfortunately, way too many fell into the category of "They Shall Not Grow Old". On a happier note, this one showed up from New Zealand today, and it is lovely.

It is nice. Just a heads up though that there are some things that make no sense. The flare tubes and gun warming tube are just sections. I guess maybe you wont see that they are not complete tubes when its all together? I just found this out this afternoon as I started building mine. Also I think I made a mistake drilling out the bulkheads. When I amd done will post a pic and see if it was worth the time or not. Otherwise so far it is a dream.

Chino Model 3D printed tracks!

one set of full suspension and tracks for Tamiya kits and two sets of just tracks for Dragon kits (to be used with AFV Club kits)

.

Once cleaned up they look pretty good but the real test will be to see how they look under primer/paint.

I am curious as to how they will fit the AFV Club kit. Personally, I would use the 3D printed on the Dragon and the Dragon tracks, with the missing bolt detail added, to the AFV Club as it should be easier working with styrene to styrene, Yet, they might be a drop fit!

By the way, where did you get them and what did they cost?
