Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Between Christmas bonus, Christmas and selling a kidney, I was able to aquire quite a few WN kits that I missed out on when they closed up. Never could snag the triplane but that's okay. I am very happy with what I got.

I only got 10 WNW kits Jonathon. (2 still have yet to be shipped to me) Yeah, it was a big $$ outlay, but I look at it this way, they won't depreciate, and I then can build and be happy. I only bought a handful of kits last year and kept the outlay as minimal as I could. The biggest was the Border Avro Lancaster in 1/32 (originally a WNW kit) and it was the second most expensive kit I ever bought.
There are still a few kits available on Sprue and Andy's for those that might be interested. Not really intending on spending on any new kits in the near future. There are a couple of resin figure kits I need to get in order to finish out a set that I have. They just have not come up yet for another batch for sale.

I recently got the Sopwith Triplane, but the Fokker E.III I would like to have and can't find at a reasonable price. That's a nice collection you have there.
Thanks, I wish I got the Triplane but it will be the one that got away.

I expect the molds will end up in another companies hands and be reissued at some point. These kits are way too nice to completely disappear into the void. I also expect the Handley Page bombers to make an appearance eventually as they have molds and I have seen the test shots as well. They were not as far along as the Lancaster if I remember correctly, but were well along.

Another one they were working on but will likely never see the light of day now is this one.

Took them a long time to do the Camel. There are some 1/32 scale Spad kits out there. I believe Rodan has a couple, a Spad VII C.1 and a Spad XIII.

I found another source for the WNW kits, at least they say they are shipping me the E.II Immelmann kit today. I'll know for sure when it arrives as I have not done business with them before. Sunward Hobbies in Canada. https://www.sunwardhobbies.ca/
Unfortunately no Sopwith Tripes shown, Big 10, so I guess it will still be in the got away file.

That's ok, I believe I am tapped out on WNW kits.
