Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

@jknaus & @MrT, Resin2Detail is having a 22% sale and they offer quite a few A-26 bits for the Hobby Boss kit:

Resin2Detail
Thanks Saul. I got the email, but have all the A-26 stuff already, although they may be doing a 6 gun nose soon. Unfortunately I cant afford anything else at the moment as I just got offered some new WNW kits and they are costing a bit.

Still like to find a reasonable WNW D. VII but this hit the porch today from Scalehobbyist.

The cute Mr. Packy flyer came in the package. I got a good laugh from Mr. Packy's model shipping adventure cartoon!

he much anticipated 1/72 AU-23 Turbo Porter with decals for 2 Pilatus airplanes from the Air America movie! No chain gun is in the kit. Dora Models airplanes are MOST excellent!

Other nifty stuff in the PM package. The IJN Jet Senden is interesting. Landing gear possibilities for the Moonbat project, The deceptive 1/35 Ukraine road signs were a must! The 1/72 brass Lewis guns are for an SE5A I want to build. They are excellent!

I wanted a set of 1/35 Wehrmacht motorcycles. the prices and shipping are very reasonable. From order to delivery took 45 days. No too shabby from an Eastern European war zone! I bought the $30.00 USD download again to do my small part to support brave people fighting for their freedom. I admire the people of Ukraine. I don't think the Ruzzians thought they would fight. The PM Store people are all Doozies!

It has been a long while since I posted my acquisitions. A very long while, so it is finally time to catch up with that.

That is all the misc stuff that I have added to the stash over the last few months. The Sky Hawk is one though that has been on the burner for a while, so I finally bit the bullet on it.

Now for the interesting items that I was able to pick up from Andy and Sprue Bros. After things went south with WNW a couple of years ago, I was able to obtain some of the kits I had wanted but there were still a few that I "wished" that I had also picked up.

In the mean time I have fully downloaded the entire data from the WNW website with all the instruction sheets, reference photos, errata photos, and paint schemes. I figured out a way to do it, and while it took a LONG time, I now have an archive of all the info that they had posted for each of the kits. If the site goes away tomorrow, it isn't lost. I also had a decent year last year and had not spent much on hobbies and such so had a stash of cash. This was an opportune time and I was able to take advantage of it.

At the beginning of the new year a seller on FB who I have delt with got in a pile of WNW kits. I managed to get the last kit from WNW that I was missing and padded my Eindecker stash and a replacement for a kit which lost some parts due to helpers helping Mom out a few Christmases ago. I also got a few other kits which I found interesting. The 1/32 Helix is on route but these came in. Also got a couple of books. The Apocalypse looks like the big one from Red Alert and supposedly its based on that. Will be interesting I think. I didnt realize it comes with a small circuit card and LEDs to light it up.

Got this one today. He was not so obese in the WW I days.

I read a very interesting book on him and can say with certainty that I didnt like him much in either war. You cant deny his bravery though in WWI. While leading from the front in his infantry unit he was injured and thus began his drug problems. His personality though seemed steady through out.

@jknaus That Kamov looks interesting James!
It does. It looks though like its modeled on the test bird with the long instrumentation pitot static tube. I need to find more pictures. It has an impressive weapons load out though. I hope they might make a Ka-27 which is more prevalent.
