the German Aces books are very good - I have read them but do bot currently have a copy, as most of my current reading is related to Modern Israel and the wars surrounding it.
The Airborne troops pulling the 6 pounder looks particularly neat. After the war, the British War department made a film about the ill-fated fight at Arnhem, and used a lot of British standard and even captured/abandoned German armor and the like. One of the things not shown in the great film A BRIDGE TOO FAR is the use of several jeeps lulling 6 pounder AT guns, when were used to some effect by the Brits.
neat stuff!
Yesterday Maus (James) came up to visit and exchange gifts. He was exceptionally kind and gave me the following plus another book. Its too far away from me at the moment so no pic. I'm thinking he wants me to do my glider soon in a diorama.
Was great to see him and the family but too short. He guilted me into going to Emergency after breakfast where I got another Christmas gift, although it wasn't much of a surprise. Will be an interesting year coming up and looks like a few changes in store whether I want them or not.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.
