You might be the Sheriff, Jeff, but she who must be obeyed is the War Department.

The rest of the story is the daughter and wife whining "Where are OUR kits?"

Oh, here is my latest that I managed to get from the Antelope Valley contest a few weeks ago.

I purchased these books:

This one on Soviet and Russian ballistic missiles since I have an Iskandr to build:

Another book on Russian vehicles, this one is on Russian T-64 and T-80 tanks since I need to figure out the differences among them. This will help when I get more Modelcollect T-64 tanks:

Another Russian tank book on the T-80. More detailed and will really help with more of the Modecollect T-80 kits:

Finally, this book on German Armored Trains. I have this book already only it was printed in Polish so I couldn't read it. Now I have the English language version here:

Now here are the two kits I got from Antelope Valley. This first one was a purchase. Now I can do two B-2 Stealth Bombers; one with kit decals and one with the Nationals decals:

And this was my one and only raffle prize. I'm going to enjoy this one! It even comes with a bonus backdrop display:

Last bit not least; I got this as a prize at my church festival at the beginning of October from one of their festival games. I had packed it away and forgot about it until recently:

That's all I got so far. Christmas is coming though...

Mark, the Russian modern stuff is pretty interesting to me. I have the DML SCUD B and am intimidated by it. Kit is still in the wrap, I guess I'll get to it, one day.

The Russians have cancelled the T-14 Armata series and are keeping their T-80 & T-90 tanks, so they will see use for years to come.

Thanks Iambrb. I also love modern Russian stuff and I'm thrilled to be able to add so much of it to my collection thanks to Modelcollect. They have so many versions of the T-64 and T-80, as well as the T-72 that I needed these books to determine the kits I plan on getting next. Don't be intimidated by the SCUD, you can do it. Just take it a step at a time and work through it slowly in between other projects that you are more confident with. I'd love to see yours get started.

Trying a new adhesive. Heard good things from some guys at the club about it.

I'll let you know how it works.

The Oliphant confuses me a bit. The box and instructions all say its a Mk 1b while the colour schemes are a Mk 2. So now to find what the difference is. SA Dave you looking?

This was the first weekend in a very LONG TIME that i visited a model shop, and I finally discovered Hobby Lobby! I picked up a Hasagawa 1/48 Ki-61, the old Monogram 1/48 F4U and...

I have been trying to find this kit, but have had zero luck. I took the plunge and bought it off evil bay... two weeks later it is in today's mail.

I think I'm going to do it in Camouflage scheme 8... maybe...

Our nearest Hobby Lobby up here seldom has anything of interest (I've only been in twice). I've had some luck at Hobbytown in town.

Can't wait to see the TBD Barney, very cool! :coolio

Well, I haven't had much time on here lately, been a busy field season!

I've been saving up all summer for this one...

compared it to a 1/48 Revell PBY Cat. Seeing them side by side, I didn't think the BV 138 was as big as it is.

Cool Warren! Yeah that is a rather hard to find kit and if I remember correctly a bit of a bear to build. As to the PBY, it had a slightly longer wingspan than a B-17. This should be an interesting build when you start it!

Thanks Paul! I ordered it directly from Special Hobby. I think they are discontinuing the HML line, might have been one of the last ones they made or had in stock.

It is a big, heavy kit! its going to require a lot of bracing to support that wing I think!

Love it, I cant wait to watch your build. I wish it was in 1/32 but then it would probably be the same price as the PBY and that expensive enough. :popcorn
