My latest acquisition, and there won't be much else for a while - Trumpeter 1/200 Bismarck and MK1 super detail set.

Cat and iPHONE there for comparison. The cat is a bit chubby, but the phone is still standard size :D

Some sharkmouth P-51s in your future?

Some interesting stuff you have there James! Waiting on the Taube as well here.

Have a few items that I picked up over the last month but just have not been in the posting mood. My Debt card got skimmed and was hit for a bit over $700. The bank make good on it (for now at least) Also have a little mail thief in my neighborhood that stole a package off my porch last thursday. Not sure if there are a couple of other missing packages yet or not. One package from China and another from England with my Valiant books.

Next weekend I am also going up to Connecticut to Breitling for some training. Only one day of training and then back to Memphrica. Unless someone up there could swing by the hotel on Sunday evening, there won't be time for anything else. Have no idea what their thinking is for a 1 day training bit. I will be getting in there Sunday about 5 pm and leaving Tuesday morning. Was hoping I would be there for at least a couple of days and might be able to meet one of you guys for dinner one evening, but unless someone can swing by my hotel on Sunday night it just won't happen.

Hate flying these days anyway so "oh well".

On Hobby Day Saturday, a friend came in and visited after the local AMPS meeting that I couldn't attend. They had just had their semi-annual kit auction fund raiser. There was only one 1/72 scale kit in the mix and he got it. He handed it to me saying "You won the auction even though you weren't there"! LOL!

Here is what I "won" without being there:

I will be starting this and my T-90 with cast turret very soon! Stay tuned!

For the past few years I have always been wanting to produce a couple of different aircraft that have always really sparked my interest. Now with this printer I am hoping that soon, maybe in the next 5 months or so, I can produce the Northrop Gamma and the others. I know that there are some difficulties that come with this but this is just a stepping stone for me. Nothing ventured so to speak. With programs like Cura 3.0.2 and blender I think I have a good chance at starting.

This is the Anet A8 and it is a copy cat of the Prusa i3 reprap printer. Being a clone there are some issues that require attention but since this is a relatively low end printer I think I can handle it. One of my good friends is into this and he has convinced me that there are unlimited potential to what can be accomplished barring the size differences and how minutely accurate I can go.

I figure I can be printing something valuable to my builds in about two months or so. I am prepared for the massive amounts of stuffing 3d modeling and printing in my foggy old mind.

Very cool. Cant wait to see what you do. I have wanted to do this ever since I saw a 3d printer. Unfortunately I can not draw if my life depended on it.

That's the beauty of it, James. You don't have to draw. There are programs that can make a 3d model from a 2d image.

Somebody you should talk to is Mr. T, Terry Barrow. He had a $ Hundred Thousand dollar 3D printer as far back back as 2005. I think! It was still while i had VLS.

I don't know much about them, maybe it's not the same technology, as his looked nothing like that, or at least I don't think it did.
