If it has worked then you should be seeing a pic of the revised and updated reissue of Tan Models RF-84F Thunderflash. Tweaks to some of the molds, vinyl masks and revised but smaller sheet of decals by Cartograph.

From my mate in the UK and destined to be a review build on Britmodeller sometime in October... maybe

Ian.

The bolt action stuff is pretty nice. If you want to do a WW2 conflict display there is a ton of stuff in the 28mm scale to do something with.

Some birthday gifts to me.

Revell 1/28 Fokker Triplane

Revell 1/28 Spad X111

Italeri 1/32 Sopwith Camel

Italeri 1/32 Nieuport 17

The Fokker Triplane kit is getting up there in years as the copyright date inside the fuselage is 1957.

Cheers

That was the inspiration for the now very famous Dehavilland Mosquito aka the Wooden Wonder.

Is that a better kit than the ancient Airfix one in 1/72 scale?

Cheers

Beats me Peter, never seen the Airfix one and we were debating on if this was pre or post war. Just didn't know what it was at first, I just like the lines of it.

That Revell Spad. I'll tell you how old that kit is! I built it in 1958 when I was 17. I loved all of those kits from Revell. The Spad, The
Sopwith Camel and the DR-1 Fokker Triplane, all in 1/28th scale. I have built all of them several times over the years. Some kits are just over the top nostalgic for me and those are included!

Good Choices!

There's a plane I've never heard of. Almost looks a bit like a ME 262.

Hi Bob.

The inside of the Fokker Dr.1 fuselage has a 1957 copyright date.

I'm going to get the Sopwith Camel soon. That leaves just the rather poor Fokker DVII to roundout the collection of Revell 1/28 scale kits. I don't know if I'll bother getting the DVII because there's a lot of modifying to get the fuselage to look right. Apparently the upper wing on it isn't that great either. Pity that because the other three kits are pretty decent despite their age. Revell is sure getting a lot of mileage out of the Camel, Fokker Dr.1 and Spad XIII kits.

Cheers

Here is something I just ordered. I had one for years and then the movers destroyed it. This lamp is great for modeling, especially painting. It has both a round fluorescent light as well as an incandescent (Or LED) bulb in the center. That works great because it gives out both the cold blue light as well as the brownish incandescent light and won't give you a tinted color you won't see later in another room!. It is on a swing arm, very heavy duty and will last a lifetime. (Unless movers are involved)! They retail for over a hundred dollars, but here you can but them for under $90 and free shipping.
