Well my WWI orders have arrived. My WNW kits look like they might have made it to Cold Lake after a long and frustrating trip. Will know better on my way to work.
Got in the brand new Life Like decals Fokker DVII part 3 and 4. They look awesome and I want to do almost every scheme on them.

And my 2 Roden Albatros' came in. Ron sent me a book on the Albatros DI and DII and I was sold. Had to get one. Then I saw a Albatros W.4 build and it got me thinking conversion. Also an Albatros D.III jumped into my cart and has found its way here. Woo Hoo.

You guys have got some very nice kits to add to the stash! (or are you going to build them?) :rotf

I picked up these last weekend at the SMC show.

First a resin kit for one of my Sws halftracks, never built a whole resin kit before so it will be interesting.

This one i swapped with another member from our club, we both won at the tombola but he got this and i got a airplane/spaceship in 1/144, and he builds in that scale and i build mostly 1/35 so it worked out well.

Haha, my recent purchase never even made it into the closet where the stash is at. Got the kit on Friday, and I was cutting pieces off the sprue's and sanding seams on Sunday evening. Waiting for some Archer dry transfer instrument gauges to show up for my Befehlsjager build, so I figured I'd start on the monster truck.

Yesterday, I went to the Scale Model Enthusiasts' meeting (every second Tuesday of the month) and met up with two of the regulars; Neil Stokes (KV book author), and Georg Eyerman (Decalcomaniacs). sometimes William Auerbach (Panzerwrecks) is in attendance. Well, Georg gave me a decal sheet to review:

I was just informed that DecalcoManiacs have re-listed this sheet, French Light Tanks, on their store for only $12USD plus shipping. What you have not seen (since this isn't a review yet) is that there is a second sheet of white numerals, letters, plates, symbols included. These sheets are now laser printed and much sharper than those ALPS printed examples I have in my stash.

Neil and I traded and I ended up with two autographed copies of his books:

KV tanks on the battle field, I need to find a copy of that. Neil does excellent work, the KV technical is one of my favorites, one of each and both autographed, you are a fortunate man Saul.

So there I was in Hobby Town earlier today. I was just going in for some advice on my Iwata airbrush. I also wanted some paint. I also had a $5 dollar off coupon for purchases over $25. After I saw this kit again.............

:geek so I bought it for 10 bucks. Did a Google and Ebay search and not a thing showed up so not sure if it's worthless or priceless :frantic but it goes well with the one I got with the "new"ish X-11 blade.

My X-Acto collection so far :D , no I'm not a hoarder(well yeah ok, maybe with paint), I'm just cheap and lazy and yes the knife sharpener does work and I do use it :tomato

Had this come in on Thursday, but my internet has been down for a couple days, so wasnt able to post it up, and then I forgot, haha.

Archer Fine Transfers German Instrument Faces. I'm going to use a couple of these in the DML Befehlsjager buidl I'm doing. Going to have the drivers hatch open, and the kit lacks any kind of instrument panel so I decided to scratch build a basic one to help give a bit more detail.

Very nice looking knife handle.

I'm not a hoarder either, haha. I think I've got 6 or 8 blade handles in my tool handle, but each one has a different type of blade in it. The only thing I dont have at the moment is some kind of saw blade. Want to get a photoetch blade that will fit in a knife handle for precision cuts.

I need one of those etch blade too, but for the moment I'm using Hasegawa's etch blades wich are hand held and they are not to bad.

I'm the same, although it didn't show up well in the first pick, but I also have a blade that is multi use, putty spatula/etch cutter/hot knife.....and no not for

it's the oldest blade and handle in the collection.

Just for fun I compared them all, I have 4 Excel's, 1 Letraset, and 2 X-Acto's, and not one of them is the same, not in length, or knurling etc. Of the 4 Excels there are 2 pairs that are close, 2 that are plain and 2 that have USA and a phone number stamped on them which, according to their website they are not using.

Working on the review. These are about an inch and a half long I think. Will measure.
Initial feelings are that this is a very handy tool. It does need care though and I wouldnt recommend it for a sprue attachment point. Too easy to skip and dig in. For a fine seam though its pretty slick.
