A package from Hungary arrived yesterday with gifts for my assistance with one of these subjects...anyone guess which?

Today was a large box from Taiwan. I will post photographs tomorrow.

Latest Acquisitions

these came on Saturday,

More items for the M48 and M3 GMC, plus some paint The plan for the DEF sprockets is to use them more as a guide and the grill doors will be saved for a possible another project.

You should use the sprockets although I too have drilled my own holes after measuring a real M60 near me.

I say this since you may want to update the sprockets on any current M60 you have and it is easier to drill or fill plastic with solvent cement than trying to modify resin to the other manufacturer's axle.

To top it off, the Legends set I bought has separate sprocket rings I need with the outer hub with holes already drilled out as separate pieces! These do not seem to be made for Dragon and may be made for Tamiya. I will know when I try them on my Academy Magach 6B Gal Batash whose hull is based on the Tamiya clone Academy put out back in 1998.

As for the back plate, it is for a Patton prior to the Mod. B update.

Have a Duster in the wings? The Patton's gun was 90mm, not 40mm! Tried to get that by us, eh?

I've tore up a number of Tamiya sprockets and never did get it right. So I thought this would be a better option to try. Really not out anything by trying.

:yipee Yep the boxes in the ammo set are for M48

Hey,Jeff.I have the same U.S. Machine Gun in my stash. It's a nice set, however the .30 ammo belts are not correct for the Browning .30 Machine Guns.
They are not the same as on the box art,the connecting links are in the middle of the belt, while they should be off centred like on the box art.
However you could use them for many other .30/7.62mm machine guns.

Greetings,Ron.

I would love to do a French Chaffee from the Southeast Asian conflict. Maybe someday....

Meanwhile, these are my latest acquisitions, purchased and won in the raffle at Orangecon this past weekend.

First off, I picked up a pin vise and then won the following other tools and supplies:

Next I have some new products as well as some additional stowage pieces from Value Gear:

I also won three books, one on the HMS Hood:

My apologies for the blurriness here. For some reason my camera couldn't focus on this book!

...one on the "mighty" German 88 Flak gun:

...and finally one that Robert will like: Son of Sherman, Volume I:

Finally we get to the models I got. This first one is my raffle winnings, the Sukhoi Su-30KI:

This next one is one that I purchased since it has markings for the 33rd TFW at Eglin AFB:

And finally, something that has been on my list since I'd heard it had come out: a 1/72 scale Saturn V rocket:

Here's a shot of the interior of the box:

Wow, what a kit! This is going to be a blast!

Okay, that's all my latest acquisitions from Orangecon! Thanks for looking in!

That weap's set looks very neat. 'Has those small rocket pods found under A-37's, T-28's and Air Force A-1's.... I could really use those.... :hmmm . Saul, would you mind giving a brief 'in box' review when it arrives ??

Thanks guys. I am considering starting that Saturn V this week, but I wanted to look up some pointers first. Besides, I haven't much room, so I have to consider that too. I will be starting the F-35; I have three other 33rd TFW Eagles to place it next to. Keep watching my Manufacturing Thread for more updates!

Yes it is! If I can find the space to set them up side-by-side, I'll shoot a pic of them together. Otherwise, it ain't gonna happen... As it is, I'm going to have a tough time shooting a finished picture of this thing; it stands over six feet tall when completed!

Picked this up yesterday at Ollies in the sprawling metropolis of Spartanburg, SC, for 8 bucks.

Raminator001.jpg

I've never built a monster truck kit before, and I figured for the price, I'd get one. Not a huge fan of Lindberg kits, but figured 8 bucks was worth the risk. Opened it up last night and took a quick look, and while the detail looks a little on the soft side, it looks pretty decent.

B/c everything is so open & visible, thinking about adding detail to this when I build it. Lots of fairly decent images on the internet showing hose routings, the limit straps holding the axles, etc, so shoudlnt be too hard to add detail.
