Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Just started one IBG kit, a Bûssing nag, and i was not impressed with the quality and fit.
How is it in these kits?
I found the attachment point between part and sprue very overdimensioned and it was difficult to cut the small pieces without breaking them, i hope it's something they worked on :)

Mats, I have that in the stash but am holding off on it until I test the plastic. It seems to benefit from CAD but, could that only be for the instructions? Large sprue attachment points don't bother me as much once I know what to expect. Depending on the size, either a razor saw or a hot knife is used to cut the piece with a part of the sprue. Easier to remove nubs than cutting or melting close to the part.

The small kitchen is calling me!

Forget pics! I want the kits! LOL! :D :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Well... If a certain F-5 Tiger II were completed in the Challenge Campaign, the Universal Carrier may find its way to your collection for only shipping... you'd only need to build it online here.

Regards,

 I agree. That has been sitting for far too long. Time to get it pulled out and worked on again.

Thanks Saul.

oh man ... i went to ye olde hobby shoppe to discuss stuff with hermann and he showed me something i had ordered last august and what was delivered last week ... waiting for godot would have been quicker!

soooo, i'm still waiting for some feedback from hermann on the stuff i asked him to check out and get for me and as soon as he has them i will start building (and show here) ... and OF COURSE i ordered another kit which is due to be released by the end of april (sherlocks surely know what kit that may be ... my only true panzer love)

Think you should do that Funkywagon, I got one in the stash also. :soldier

although i now have everything to make chuk happy and build a sdkfz 232 6-rad with crew, you know my plans dude, you know them plans ... and them plans are delayed to may the earliest now since hermann could neither provide me with info on availability nor provide me with kit and am stuff

Well Friday the wife and I went to the pawn shop to look for a belt sander to do some work at the new house. We got a professional grade sander for around $30. Having never been in the store before, the wife started looking around. Next thing you know, she is buying me a laptop computer. 2011 Dell Inspiron 64bit with 6 gig of Ram and 450 gig hard drive. :woohoo: The shop does a system recovery and restores it to factory specs before they put it on display.

After doing a system recovery on my old laptop, she was afraid that it wasn't going to hold up much longer to all the work I do with it. It still works fine, so we're keeping it for a backup.

Some stuff came in today. The newest Jake Melampy book fresh off the press. This one on F-18 A/B/C/Ds. He does some great picture books and this is no slouch.

Got an order from the Barrel store in 1 week. Apart from the website and clunky checkout it was cheap and fast and I finally got a Moskit Exhaust to try.

Some more seat belts and intake manifolds for my WWI stuff.

And some more stuff from Gas Patch. This time some anchor points, some RAF spade type connectors and a most incredible WWI German Airspeed Indicator.

If you need something, why not ask and I can see what I can do? By the way, my Trumpeter 88mm self propelled thing-a-ma-jig is at an AM company who is planning some updates for it. So, if you have that kit in your stash already, I can ask for an extra set (since I did provide the reference and base kit).
