Cool! I've been trying to get a 1/72 scale Connie for some time now. I want to get the EC bird as well. Way to go, I'll be watching that one when you decide to start her up.

I am doing a co9nversion of the connie to an EC-121 warning star. the kitty cat will have to wait a while Ryan.

Interesting. I thought that Heller or someone already has a model of the EC-121 Warning Star. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing yours built.

So, I went to a local hobby show at the airbase near me this morning. They have it yearly and though its small, its pretty good!

Sorry folks, I don't have any pics. I had my baby girl with me and could not take pictures and handle her at the same time!

i did find a couple interesting finds though!

A PZL-23 Karas for $30

It certainly is different Dave! Built specifically for kamikaze attacks. I like how the landing gear were dropped after take off, they really didn't want to waste materials or have much of a chance for the pilots to be able to return to base.

Got two packages.

First, let me thank those that bought from my garage sale as it helps me pick up new stuff to review!

One can't beat the $2USD shipping when buying direct from Archer Fine Transfers:

I was surprised to find more than I ordered from IBG, it seems he recognized my name. Perhaps he thought about the time I was in Warsaw and missed out interviewing him?

I obviously wanted the trucks, order was placed before the Bedford 1/35th scale kits were available.

I know they are not new on the market nor 'hot' but let me know if you want photo reviews of any.

Regards,

and that fernsprechbetriebskraftwagon (did I spell that right?) looks like it could go anywhere!

Forget pics! I want the kits! LOL! :D :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Congrats on the scores Saul, and well done on the surprises. Yes, lets see some photo reviews on those. I've built a couple IBG trucks before and they are excellent kits with great detail. The only drawback is that some of their smaller parts are almost too delicate to remove from the sprues. It takes some careful handling to get them free.

I've also heard that the UC's tracks can be quite fiddly but I'm going to reserve judgement on that until I'm able to pick one of them up and build it myself.

You're gonna enjoy those kits Saul; I'm looking forward to seeing your work on them.

Well... If a certain F-5 Tiger II were completed in the Challenge Campaign, the Universal Carrier may find its way to your collection for only shipping... you'd only need to build it online here.

Regards,

Very very cool Saul. I'll have to look for the truck with the Bilsten crane. That would be very neat.
