I picked this kit up a few weeks ago and it has been steadily calling my name ...... so over the past few days as I worked on weathering the sturm tiger I also was working on the LRDG chevy
It is Tamiya's older kit with the breda gun update
The frame is preety straight foreward as one would expect.
Next was the bed or cargo box it is what is often referred to as a flat kit..... amazingly enough there is a wealth of detail
The only thing i added were some slat wood sides to the top of the box.
The next part was the hood cab assembly once again very straight foreward with good detail
A few aditions had to be made.
The battery was wired .....and the condencer was re drilled and plumbed ..... having seen other people do the same with the condencer I looked for reference pics and discovered that the lower condencer line is almost behind the unit and not on top with the other.
the breda gun is a kit in itself ..... since thge LRDG was a fast moving assault group I opted to bed mount the breda gun....... not to mention it just looks cool in the bed.
