There is a lot of subjects out there. I know in 1/87 scale you can get just about anything from old to new.
I kinda have a special place for commercial trucks as my Grandfather ran a trucking line for 40 years.
might help with some ideas

Finally found a picture of a truck w/ a similar layout to what I'm thinking of doing.

Except I'll do mine as a 3 axle truck w/ an extended frame to allow for a large flat bed, w/ the gantry frame & hoist on the flat bed.
