Doing the Meng Jeep. Not sure which one though. Either the British version in which case I need to find out if they would be Khaki Drab or olive Drab, or order some decals to do a Canadian Provost jeep in Korea and again figure what colour it would be.

Sanded off the Meng trademark and filled holes and also filled the muffler with plastic strip and filed and sanded to shape. You wont see it but I know I did it.

It's a fun little jeep, I should break mine out and finish it. Can't think of anything wrong with it, just sand off the seam line on the rear bumpers. Also better with windshield in place, the hole for the pivot point is just too big for it to go without.

Its is a nice kit. There are no seam lines on the bumper that I can see, only bad thing are some big punch marks but they are hidden so not a big issue.

From my refs, pre-1944 Jeeps were sometimes left in US Olive Drab with or without the Foliage or Mickey Mouse Ear camouflage applied in the UK. They would only have been repainted in SCC 2 Service Drab when/if necessary. Some vehicles were repainted in SCC 2 upon arrival in the UK, with or without camouflage. In early 1944 an order was issued that US made vehicles were not to be repainted and SCC 15 British Olive Drab would replace SCC 2 as the base colour on British vehicles. The summer of 1944 saw the end of disruptive camouflage being applied.

My decal sheet for a Canadian Jeep in Korea has Bronze Green as the colour. From what I've read, we took our own Jeeps over to Korea from Canada and we were still following British colours at that time.

Thanks. Is that the Star decal sheet? I'm thinking I'm just going to do it.
I do like the Micky Mouse scheme though. Been a long time since I built a Brit vehicle with the mouse ears
