The new Revell 1/72 Type IXC U Boat (U-505) is out and with it went my no new kit pledge.

Besides a trade with Saul over the Summer, Robby the Robot and the Tamiya RC Pz IV, I haven't bought a kit in years, but the reign of level headedness is over (Long Live Levelhead).

Once the floodgates were open, the two new Moebius Munster models lept onto the invoice before I knew it. :geek

Then of course I had to look for ref material and Amazon had "Steel Boat Iron Hearts: A U-boat Crewman's Life Aboard U-505".

I always though of myself as a stashoholic. :hmmm

A few things went into this. First, I've really been bitten by building bug again after a long drought taken up with RC foam AC and free flight stick and tissue building. Second, my kids have been raiding my stash for a while now, but not in a good way. One huge amp box I had stuffed with pristine kits looks like it was sacked by Howler Monkeys.

I'll definitely get the photos up when I get it, should be around Thursday.
