I want a gun!

I have figured what I'm gonna build after the saucer, my next big messy build anyway i just can't decide...

I want a GUN, a big complicated 1/32 scale piece of artillery. I don't want a rail gun, or a cannon- It can't be self propelled. Nor can it be something that is mounted to something else like a sub marine. (Although that could be cool).

I have seen you guys building these, except for the Rolling thunder topic we don't have a topic here for land guns. Tanks are cool, but i want to build something that shoots tank, and ships and things over that mountain ect.

But I want it TOUGH! Does that sound macho? Oh well. lol

What is the most complicated? An 88? Howitzer? A ground based version of that 4 barrel monster on the Flak Panzer? I don't know the names.

the 88 is always nice (as long as you are not infront of it in a sherman!)
Many different versions, Afv-club usually have alot of guns.

In 1/32 scale?...might be hard to find.

In 1/35 scale you got many things to choose from.
How about one of the many PAK guns the Germans had!

Greetings,Ron.

The 88 rocks! I just did one that's packed up for towing, I'd like to do one that's fully articulated and deployed.

Hey Kryptos,

The 88 is a nice one,look what Frank[BURTON] is doing with his one;

I got a gun!!!! Sprue has 41 of these...

https://store.nexternal.com/sbm/storefront/135-dragon-88cm-flak-37-mit-behelfslafette-6523-p19066.aspx

For $23.99 each! Now they have 40- lol great timing for a great buy!

Also my first Dragon kit.

I'll have to meet that guy here with the 570 something armor models! lol

I wonder how much $$$ Sprue brothers makes from this site? Moon you need to talk them down to a discount!!!

bummer! i'm too late - i would have suggested the afv-club 88mm flak18 to you! lovely kit!

in any case, if you want to spice your build up a bit i'd go for a voyager pe set, i have build the afv-club 18 with voyager and the dml 36 with voyager and i swear i'll never build an 88 without pe again!

the already phantastic details of both manufacturer's guns are lifted into another sphere with pe!

sooner or later i'll get me one of the above mentioned flaks with pe again and build it!

one thing's for sure - you'll love that kit! :mpup

I think this kit has a little bit of PE- at least the barrel is metal and the breach works. This will be my first Dragon kit-thanks for the heads up on the PE set from Voyager, L. I definitely want to build the gun full out

Still waiting for my 88- went to the local today to get some orange spray to finish the race car and scored a 1/35 Tamiya Pak 40 for $6.75! This one has wheels so it'll hook up to my SDK 251! (whenever THATS built) ! lol

Anyone ever see a PE set for the PAK 40?

I have seen a few for the Dragon and the AFV kits- think it would make a difference? I want to build it as a late model. Thanks for the help!
